A Solid Foundation Gets Stronger

Coury Properties' expanded capabilities include expertise in construction related activities available to non-tenant businesses. With the emphasis on renovation of building interiors and exteriors, available services include architectural referral, renovation concept and costing, project supervision, subcontractor selection and value engineering.

Our approach combines vision, creativity, understanding of development trends and value engineering skills. During the past 15 year, Coury Properties has been involved in the development of over 20 commercial projects with and aggregate value of over $100 million. Many of the properties have included redevelopment of urban areas, a process also known as regentrification or infilling.

“Coury Properties is in the unique position to provide a building owner or tenant with both renovation expertise and experienced marketability perspective. Our approach combines vision, creativity, understanding of development trends, and value engineering skills. This multi-discipline method ensures property esthetics, use and return on investment are maximized,” says Coury Properties' Chairman, Paul Coury.

Coury Properties’ restoration of the historic ten-story Ambassador Hotel at 14th and Main Avenue in Tulsa is one example of the company’s redevelopment expertise. The building, originally constructed in 1929 as a luxury hotel, was closed in 1987 after a final stint as senior retirement housing. Reopened in 1999, it again offers first-class Old World charm while simultaneously providing cutting edge technological amenities in its 55 guest rooms and assorted meeting rooms.

Other well-known, successful Tulsa-area projects Coury Properties has directed include 4300 Brooktowne, the redevelopment of the 17-acre former site of the John Zink Co. from light industrial to residential, office and retail use and revitalization of the International Plaza, formerly the Warren Petroleum Building.
